The "Mode" knob actually "adds" three additional switches/buttons to multiply the overall setup by "3". I refer to those documents on a regular basis when setting up my Saitek X-45, Pro yoke and dual The time you spend investigating the advanced techniques will be well spent.Īnd keep that document "handy", along with "List of FSX controls.pdf" and "FSUIPC Lua Library.pdf". I use the various capabilities of FSUIPC and Lua forĪll my complex aircraft control assignments such that I rarely need to resort to keyboard or mouse inputs I have over 70 functions defined for 10 switches on my Saitek dual quadrants using a form of the compoundīutton programming. Add the Lua capabilities and the possibilities are endless! Essentially, you can have 5,6,10 or more "Modes" using the advanced programming methodsĭefined in the FSUIPC documentation. Tha FSUIPC facilities go far beyond what can be done with The Saitek softwareĭoes this for you but is limited in it's usefulness. Methods of switch programming, which is what you will need for implementing the "Modes". starts the discussions on the more advanced starts the section on Button Programming.

You need to spend some time studying the document "FSUIPC4 for Advanced Users.pdf" that is provided with the download Other buttons/switches do anything different unless you program them to do so. It is up to you to use those states to modify how the other buttons/switches act in FSUIPC. So, you have Btn# 27,28,29 that represent the three different states I suspect "Mode 1" will return "Joy#0 Btn# 27". The "Mode" knob looks just like 3 switches in FSUIPC or Win7 for that matter. It may be that FSUIPC cannot support X52 in Win 7, it would be good to have it confirmed one way or another. Why anybody should want so many buttons I cannot guess, they must have a fantastic memory to remember them all. Thus it seems that changing the Mode knob simply adds 2 more buttons to the controller rather than multiplying the number of controls by 3. Changing to Mode 3 the result is Joy# 0 Btn# 29. Changing to Mode 2 I see Joy# 0 and Btn# 28, then pressing button A the values revert to Joy# 0 and Btn# 2. Starting FSX and then FSUIPC when I go to "Buttons & Switches" if I press joystck button A in Mode 1 the Button Window shows Joy# 0 and Btn# 2. By rotating the knurled knob the 3 Mode positions show and the Mode no on the controller changes from 1 to 2 to 3. This will eventualy take me to X52 Controller Properties.
In Win 7 "Game Controller" = "Devices & Printers". (It doesn't have a "SaiD0762.pro", instead there is a "SaiD075C.I am using Win 7 so the page names are, of course, different.

Is there any chance you know what driver (if any) needs to be removed to achieve the same results? The flickering lights on the stick sounds like a poor connection with the cable that connects the throttle and stick. Now, every single button and axis on the X52 can be assigned either through FSX or a registered version of FSUIPC. Then, (very important) unplug the X52pro from your computer, then plug back in. (the drivers) Remove the one named SaiD0762.pro and put it somewhere safe. Then go to C:/Windows/System32 scroll down till you come to a group of files starting with Sai.

Install ONLY the drivers, I NEVER used their programming software. I used the X36, then X52 and finally the X52pro for years without any problems (I now use the Warthog) All I can tell you is what I used to do. I have a feeling that a clean install would resolve the problem, however, i would need guidance to clean every trace of the controller first which I understand is quite challenging. Ran thru the saitek official forums but could not solve these problems with the recommendations found there. Noticed that the light on the stick flickers at times.Ĭan someone help me out with this. However, the MFD does not take any input by itself.Ĥ. The NAV and the COM on the MFD respond to the changes on the panel in the aircraft. I have read a few posts somewhere where folks are using the trim wheel on the throttle as a elevator trim.ģ. The test page on the devices and printers however respond to the movement of the trim wheel. I am not able to get the trim wheel on the throttle to work. One instance on C:\program files (x86)\SaitekĢ. I can see 2 sets of installations as follows : I am having a few issues with the X52 pro and need help re-configuring it.ġ.
